Pizza Cosy: The favorite pizzas of the French have arrived in Bordeaux!
In Bordeaux, it opened its doors this Wednesday, November 16th with a special sale of the first 300 pizzas for only 1 euro, which was a huge success! Located by the Garonne River, the take-out restaurant (soon to have around thirty terrace seats) makes freshly baked pizzas in front of the customers. Their philosophy? Recipes made with 100% fresh, 90% French ingredients (except for the mozzarella) and a seasonal evolving menu. Carefully selected suppliers ensure that Pizza Cosy loves the fine products of Gironde.
Fresh products, local recipes, and signature variations
With its classic artisanal pizzas (meaty or veggie), signature creations (try the autumn one with pumpkin/porcini mushrooms and roasted hazelnuts), or local specialties (pizza with Ossau Iraty and AOP cheese from the Basque Country), Pizza Cosy brings a new twist to pizza. They also offer a Pani Pizz' option (half pizza, half panini) that is a hit with students thanks to a €7.90 deal including a small pizza and a drink. Everything is made in-house, including desserts. The two favorites are the house tiramisu or the sweet turnover (the calzone for dessert lovers) with spreadable paste and salted caramel.
Pizza lovers trained by the World Champion
What's the cherry on top of the Neapolitan? With a focus on serving gems, Pizza Cosy ferments its dough for 72 hours and uses whole grain flours. Another distinctive feature? The 5 pizza experts in Bordeaux were trained by Mehdi Douimry, the world champion of pizzas who therefore has his big "share of responsibility". And that's the cream of the crop!
