A First in the History of the Lighthouse
The Cap Ferret Lighthouse lights up at dusk. Designated a historic monument since 2009, the Cap Ferret Lighthouse is enjoying a second life for a few summer evenings. Since July, it exceptionally opens its doors to the public at the most poetic moment of the day: sunset. This unprecedented initiative allows the curious to rediscover this iconic site in a whole new light.

An Intimate Guided Tour
Every Thursday in the summer, a group of up to 15 people is invited to climb the 258 steps of the tower. The ascent is accompanied by a guide who shares the lighthouse's history, its strategic role in navigation, and the unique features of its architecture.
Once at the top, the reward matches the effort: a spectacular 360° view of the Atlantic Ocean, the Cap Ferret peninsula, the Dune du Pilat, and the ever-changing lights of the Basin.
