The Darwin Space

The ultimate place for urban expression. Darwin is obviously the first place that comes to mind. Every person from Bordeaux has already spent a Saturday afternoon wandering through the hangars of Darwin, admiring the magnificent works of art that adorned the walls. Different worlds and different artists add to the charm of this inspiring place.

The artist skou1995 regularly paints on the walls of Darwin, with a unique and engaging style. You can find several of his works in downtown Bordeaux and especially in Chartrons, so keep your eyes open.

Banksy's Diversions

How can we talk about street art without mentioning the master of the subject: Banksy? The street artist well known for his works decorating walls around the world but always in anonymity, could have possibly passed through Bordeaux to leave two works in support of the yellow vests. The first one diverting his anarchist rat at Place de la Bourse and the second one diverting the very famous little girl with a balloon, visible on the Court de l'Albret.

The Giant Little Girl

This little girl who holds the world in her hands is simply splendid. Visible on a wall at CHU Pellegrin, the artwork is no less impressive than significant.

Alber in color

If you think you've already come across a similar artwork in Bordeaux, it's entirely possible. The graffiti artist Alberoner is from Bordeaux, and he regularly paints the walls of the Girondin capital to add a bit of color.

The Wall of Bacalan

This wall in Bacalan lives according to the moods of the artists who contribute to its renewal. And that's also the beauty of street art, a continuous overlay of artworks, each more beautiful than the last.

The Metro Paradise Mural

Spanning over 700m² in the Saint-Nicolas neighborhood, a large mural unfolds. Two artists from Bordeaux, Nerone and Epis, created this piece which was commissioned by the city of Bordeaux as part of the Paysage Bordeaux initiative in 2017.

The intriguing Mimil

This character seen on the streets of our city between the train station and la Victoire is the work of David Selor. The artist conveys his ideas through 10 representations. Humor and implicit messages, everyone is free to interpret the paintings, which aim to denounce certain human behaviors.

The joyful chick

Philippe Poulet puts his little character into context to spread optimistic messages everywhere. He is often seen on the streets of Bordeaux, reminding us to always keep a childlike spirit, and adding color to our city.

The Breath Wall

The most recent masterpiece that has captivated minds? The work of Jean Rooble created at the beginning of the year for the association The Breath Wall. Standing 5x8 meters tall, the new portrait of Lisa, now three years older, in an art-deco style, pays tribute to the immense Mucha. This is the artist's way of supporting and aiding research against cystic fibrosis through the purchase of art. Kudos to the artist!
