An immersion into the house on Rue de Verneuil
At 5 bis Rue de Verneuil, Serge Gainsbourg's house remains frozen in time. It was here in 2011 that Yannick Ribeaut, a photographer born in 1972 in Bordeaux, captured the atmosphere of the place. From this immersion came the series Gainsbourg Inside, which blends photography with handwritten fragments from the artist. The exhibition can be seen at the Bordeaux gallery Arrêt sur l’image from September 11 to October 11.

Text and Image in Resonance
More than just a tribute, Gainsbourg Inside is an attempt to listen. Ribeaut's photographs do not just document the space; they reveal the vibrations, silences, and emotional weight within it. The images are accompanied by handwritten notes entrusted by Fulbert, Gainsbourg's butler, the discreet guardian of this memory. Scrawled hurriedly or with unsettling precision, they resonate with the objects and details of the house, evoking a presence in absence.
