February is shaping up to be colorful! While Matisse sets the Bassins des Lumières ablaze, Frida Kahlo makes a dazzling appearance at the Bordeaux location. Through these two distinct experiences, the cultural center orchestrates a unique dialogue between two giants of 20th-century art, featuring monumental projections, enveloping music, and a one-of-a-kind immersive setting.
A Masterful Immersion into Matisse's Art

Presented as a short program, it isn't the main exhibition of the season but rather an additional experience, designed to provide an intimate and contrasting mirror to Matisse's colorful profusion. Through her self-portraits, organic symbols, plant motifs, and her most striking works (The Two Fridas, The Broken Column, Self-Portrait with Necklace and more). épines…), the audience dives into the inner life of the Mexican artist, torn between pain, resilience, and self-assertion.
This intense and emotional breathing highlights a different way of experiencing color: more visceral, more autobiographical, more instinctive.
Two Contemporary Creations in Parallel

-
L’Échappée des lignes, a hypnotic installation by Olivier Ratsi, where light, geometry, and perception intertwine in a disorienting ballet.
-
Oniria, a dreamlike experience by Femme Fatale Studio, created with artificial intelligence around the essence of dreams.
