The Editor

We have all dreamed of seeing the Sistine Chapel in person. And while some have had the privilege to make this dream come true, others will also be able to enjoy it without having to go all the way to the Vatican. Starting on October 10th and for nearly 2 months, Bordeaux will host an exhibition dedicated to Michelangelo's masterpiece. After making stops in Shanghai, Chicago, Berlin, London, and Lyon (the only other city in France), the famous exhibition dedicated to the world's most famous chapel is landing here, and we couldn't be prouder!

The Sistine Chapel comes to Bordeaux

Like a real dive into the heart of the Italian Renaissance, the exhibition "Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel" will invite the people of Bordeaux to discover Michelangelo's masterpiece as if they were there! The magic will happen thanks to the 34 frescoes that will be represented in their original size through a high-quality printing technique that has reproduced the frescoes down to the smallest details, giving us a real sensation of being there for real. The exhibition lasts between 1 hour and 15 minutes and 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Opening of reservations on September 27th

From floor to ceiling, you won't know where to look. From the incredible Creation of Adam and its outstretched fingers to David against Goliath, frozen in their deadly duel and Prophet Jeremiah, looking pensive and in light colors... The frescoes are all more impressive than the others. No need to book tickets to Rome and the nearby Vatican, it's coming to us! A little advice: It is highly recommended to reserve in advance!
