The Capc is dedicating a special exhibition to the legendary artist Rammellzee, titled Alphabeta Sigma (Face B), which you can check out from November 21, 2025, to April 26, 2026. Following the success of the first part presented at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, this “Face B” invites visitors to dive into the vibrant universe of a pioneer of hip-hop culture, featuring graffiti, music, costumes, and futuristic theories.

A hip-hop pioneer turned legend
Born in New York in 1960, Rammellzee was much more than a graffiti artist: a theorist, performer, and sculptor, he created the concept of Gothic Futurism as early as 1979, a philosophy that turns letters into a tool for liberation against the dominant language. A true alchemist of words and forms, he transformed his graffiti into battle vessels, his armor into works of art, and his life into a manifesto.
The exhibition traces this extraordinary journey through a hundred works - paintings, sculptures, videos, and costumes - presented in an immersive staging designed by Pascal Rodriguez.

The 80s in New York: A Time of Excitement and Cultural Revolution
The Capc also places the artist in the vibrant atmosphere of 1980s New York, showcasing works from his contemporaries and allies: Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Madonna, Kenny Scharf, Phase 2, and Martha Cooper. Together, they embody the urban avant-garde that transformed the streets into museums.

A total immersion in the Rammellzee galaxy
Curated by Cédric Fauq and Hugo Vitrani, Rammellzee, Alphabeta Sigma (Side B) offers a journey into the galaxy of a unique creator, whose legacy continues to influence music, fashion, and contemporary art. The opening is planned for Thursday, November 20th from 7 PM to 11 PM. A DJ set by Toxic, a close associate of Basquiat and Rammellzee in the 1980s, is expected for the occasion.
