A Symbolic Anniversary for The Little Prince

The return of this immersive creation is tied to a significant date: April 6, 2026, will mark the 80th anniversary of the French publication of The Little Prince. Initially published in the United States in 1943, the book appeared in France in 1946, posthumously, two years after the author’s passing in 1944. Since then, it has become one of the most translated and read stories in the world.

To celebrate this anniversary, Culturespaces and the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Estate are offering a faithful and sensitive re-interpretation of the work.

A Poetic Immersion in the Heart of Watercolors

The exhibition brings to life the original watercolors and words of Saint-Exupéry, projected on the monumental walls and floors of the Bassins des Lumières. Visitors travel from planet to planet, from the desert to the meadows, accompanying the Little Prince on his quest for meaning.

Roses, foxes, and snakes come to life to the rhythm of the music, in a universe where imagination seems to dissolve the boundaries of time and space. This staging highlights the uniqueness of the work, which is both a philosophical tale, poetic narrative, and illustrated book, where text and drawings are inseparable. Through the great themes of the story (friendship, love, the transition to adulthood, the visible and the invisible), the experience invites everyone to rediscover their capacity for wonder. “One sees clearly only with the heart, what is essential is invisible to the eyes,” recalls the famous quote that runs through the exhibition.
