A beloved Broadway musical is coming to the Bordeaux Opera!

Created on Broadway in 1970, Company is regarded as the first "concept" musical. It doesn't follow a linear plot, but instead weaves together fragments of the life of Bobby, a 35-year-old eternal bachelor. Through birthday parties, friend gatherings, doubts, and confessions, this puzzle of experiences humorously and insightfully explores the universal themes of couplehood, loneliness, and friendship.

Broadway comes to Bordeaux

Featuring the dazzling orchestrations of Jonathan Tunick and the unforgettable songs of Stephen Sondheim, the play presents an inventive staging that blends minimalist sets, playful lighting, and immersive videos. Choreographed by Ewan Jones, it brings a lively seventies energy, while the National Orchestra of Bordeaux Aquitaine accompanies a cast of performers from the French-speaking musical theater, including Gaétan Borg, Jasmine Roy, and Sinan Bertrand.

4 performances are offered in Bordeaux from September 24 to 27. After that, the event will hit the road again for Rennes, Nice, and Avignon. Tickets are on sale starting at €42.
