A First for Bordeaux: A World Show
After captivating Madrid, Milan, Miami, and more recently Lyon, DroneArt Show is setting up shop in Bordeaux. This concept, born from the fusion of classical music and cutting-edge technology, transforms the sky into a living stage. At the Hippodrome du Bouscat, away from the city's lights, this show promises two magical evenings where art literally rises to new heights.
At the heart of the experience, a string quartet performs masterpieces by Vivaldi, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky.
I am surrounded by 20,000 sparkling candles. Then, in perfect harmony, more than 500 drones rise into the sky to create stars, swans, or glowing constellations for 45 minutes. An extraordinary performance, made possible by alternating two fleets of drones – while one is flying, the other is recharging.

A total show, blending emotion and innovation
“The goal is to create a visual emotion that matches the intensity of the music,” explains the production team, which is focused on an immersive experience where the visuals enhance the sound. To keep the magic going, there will be food trucks and DJ sets welcoming the audience starting at 7 PM, with the show set to kick off at 9:30 PM.

The choice of the Hippodrome is no accident: its open space and low light pollution ensure a perfectly dark sky, making it ideal for this celestial choreography. It’s a unique meeting of cultural heritage and technological innovation, where the silence of the sky responds to the grace of the strings.
