On October 1, 2025, the giant Burger King opened its very first restaurant on the right bank, at 79 Avenue Thiers, just a stone's throw from the Botanical Garden. This highly anticipated opening marks a new milestone for the American brand in the Bordeaux metropolitan area.

A brand new restaurant and 55 local jobs

Take that, Bastide! Burger King has opened its first location on the right bank of Bordeaux. The official opening took place on Wednesday, October 1st, on Avenue Thiers. Behind this opening, Nicolas Fourcade, the franchisee of the site, gathered a fantastic team of 55 employees on permanent contracts, all hired locally. Whether they have a diploma or not, young professionals or those in career transition, everyone has been trained in the "flame culture" that's cherished by the brand.

The new restaurant, with a capacity of 150 seats, has been designed to provide a friendly and smooth experience. It features a double drive-thru lane, a Click & Collect service and Click & Parking, ordering kiosks, and table service.

Bordelais locals can enjoy the brand's must-haves — Whopper®, Tenders, Big King® — along with the latest offerings, such as Baby Burgers, mini-burgers to share (or not), available in packs of 3 or 9. With this opening, the brand continues its expansion in France, where it now boasts over 580 restaurants and 175 franchises. The group Bertrand Franchise, which oversees the exclusive development of the brand in the Hexagon, is banking on Bordeaux Bastide to strengthen the presence of the king of burgers in the Southwest.
