The very first tequila and mezcal bar in Bordeaux has just opened!

The Cheeky Toucan : The new kingdom of Mexican aperitif in Bordeaux

Unprecedented on the festive scene in Bordeaux, The Cheeky Toucan specializes in tequila (distilled from Blue Agave) and mezcal (a rising beverage made from different varieties of Agaves with a slightly smoky flavor). Since April 4th, the new bar from the Vintage Group unfolds its festive, caliente, and ultra-colorful universe at 6 and 7 quai de la Monnaie in the space previously occupied by the former Sabor & Son which has bid farewell.

Always very inspired by Latin and tropical cultures,  The Cheerful Toucan brings sunshine to the neighborhood with a colorful and high-proof establishment. On the agenda? The richest selection of tequila and mezcal in Bordeaux, about ten signature cocktails as well as some classic favorites and seasonal specials, fruity mocktails, a variety of draft beers and several spirits. 

And that's not even mentioning the welcoming and lively team that matches the vibe of the place ! While tequila can be savored here patiently, it is also possible to experience it like in the country itself : in its "original paf" version.With tonic, salt, and lemon, shaken on the counter !

A direct flight to Latin America

To accompany the tasting, Au Toucan Fringant offers a small food menu that fluctuates between French and South American specialties. Sausage, tapenade, and hummus mingle on the tables with authentic guacamole, nachos, and quesadillas.

The new festive place inspired by Latin America is naturally colorful and explosive. The decoration has been thought in this sense, with many references drawn on the walls, lush greenery, floral fabrics, warm colors, and typical terracotta walls.

This temple of happiness and aperitif promises us unique moments, outpourings of joy, and wild evenings by reviving the flame of the docks. It is the new addition to the Vintage Group, just a few days after the opening of their first Restaurant Marguerite.
