Pitchoun Bègles Reinvents Itself
There’s a unique guinguette that has set up shop in Bègles! It made quite the splash when it arrived last June, featuring a large venue dedicated to street food and music. Spanning a total of 350 m², this spot has since transformed into a immersive mountain guinguette. Say goodbye to parasols and sun loungers, because Pitchoun is embracing winter with a full-on dash toward the Pyrenees. Natural fir trees, twinkling lights, ski gondolas, and igloos have been brought in to create an atmosphere that's more festive than ever!
A pop-up ski resort with unlimited raclette!
Behind this ambitious project? Three rugby players from Stade Langonnais: Thomas Wallraf, Matthis Lieures, and Thomas Mendy. With a mission to stand out, these three sports enthusiasts are launching the first mountaintop restaurant in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. At Pitchoun, unlimited raclette is only served in the evenings, from Tuesday to Saturday, for €29 per person (just €14 for kids under 12!).
In cable cars or igloos by reservation
The cable cars can accommodate up to 6 people, while the igloos - transparent bubble types - invite up to 10 guests for an experiential dinner. Each group has its own machine to melt cheese onto their plates as they wish. Due to the success it’s been having, reservations are required on the website or by phone.
.
It's good to know that those who aren't into cheese can also enjoy a selection of tapas or food trucks available throughout the season. There's also an exciting event program featuring DJ sets and Sunday brunch - all served on a platter. What's on the menu? Fun DJ sets and great vibes in a totally unique setting!
