Paul and Flore, creators of a bistro with character
They’ve traveled between the Alps and Saint-Barthélemy, learning the importance of service and the richness of local flavors, wavering between Marseille and Bordeaux… In the end, it was the Garonne that won their hearts. Paul, a sommelier and bar enthusiast, and Flore, an expert in service and hospitality, opened SacreBleu on May 11, 2024, in the Saint-Paul neighborhood. A bistro that reflects their spirit: warm and unpretentious, filled with simple yet well-crafted desires.

A free, local, and seasonal menu
Here, the local produce reigns supreme, with ingredients sourced from the Basque Country, Béarn, Périgord, or Charente. "Bordeaux enjoys a very central position for great products," shares Paul. "This allows us to have a menu with short supply chains that is both accessible and delicious." The result: a menu that changes with the seasons, respecting the goodness of what nature has to offer.
At lunchtime, sandwiches are made to order right behind the counter, just like in Paris. The starter/main/dessert combo is offered at €24 for a relaxed and delightful break. In the evening, the place transforms into a sharing spot, featuring generous plates (ranging from €10 to €45): rib steak, duck breast with bigarade sauce, lamb shoulder, as well as trout sashimi, octopus, crispy croquettes, and duck hearts. All dietary preferences are accommodated, from vegetarians to meat lovers, not forgetting the seafood enthusiasts.
A place to live, between bistro and wine bar
SacreBleu thrives on the rhythm of its customers. With its 30 seats upstairs, 20 spots in the cellar, and its front completely open to the lovely days, the place radiates friendliness. The private cellar can be booked for groups of 8 to 20 people, gathered around a large table designed for joyful reunions. And for those who love to wander or tourists just passing by, the wine bar remains accessible continuously, offering freshly prepared platters to enjoy with a perfectly chosen glass.

A Charming Atmosphere
The decor sets the tone: Bordeaux stone, vintage furniture, a lively central bar, comfortable seating, and carefully chosen details. All of this creates an atmosphere that is both modern and timeless, blending classic bistro elements with contemporary twists. As it approaches its first birthday, SacreBleu has established itself as a delightful Bordeaux spot where you always want to return, for the joy of good food… and feeling right at home.
