Just before spring 2024, the Marguerite has made its delightful debut at 1 Quai Richelieu in Bordeaux, nestled between Charles Dickens and the pharmacy. This bright gem, featuring a stunning terrace with a view, takes the place of the design store Icône.
Behind this exciting project is the Vintage Group, already well-known among the locals with its 8 lively bars: Vintage Café, the Vintage Bar, the Engrenage, and many more!
Gears, the Green Monkey, Rockwood, and the Balthazar, the vast Delirium Café, and more recently Au Toucan Fringant. Building on its success and always seeking new challenges, the group founded by Matthieu Gervereau and led by Roman Carlier is launching its wine bar with a menu that will make your mouth water!

On-site, you wouldn't guess it's a first for the teams! Marguerite already has all the makings of a grand establishment. In this delightful spot, the focus is on wines from Bordeaux and beyond, with a wine list as broad as it is rich in prestigious references, including organic, biodynamic, and natural wines. You'll also find an innovative and delicious cocktail menu, featuring some classics and bold creations like the “Colombian Espresso Martini” or the “Mojito Marguerite.” Plus: a Happy Hour from 5 PM to 7:30 PM to enjoy sweet prices on draft beers (€5 for a pint of blonde) and Bordeaux wines by the glass (€5).
On the culinary side? Delicious, thoughtfully crafted seasonal dishes that can only be enjoyed in the evenings until midnight. Forget the typical starter/main dessert combo; Marguerite focuses on shareable plates (or not) paired with plenty of great bottles for delightful dining aperitifs and cozy dinners!
The menu ranges from an exquisite charcuterie platter to the finest local cheeses (toasted Cabecous from Périgord, Brillat-Savarin with apricot and pistachio), along with dishes like tuna tataki, Galician octopus, and for the sweet tooth, sparkling chocolate cabosse.

Here, the environment is soft and inviting. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. The team is just as friendly as those in the other bars of the group: always smiling, dynamic, and accommodating. The decor features Mediterranean influences, with fringed lights, rattan furniture, a large terrazzo counter, and color shades that invite relaxation. All of this is bathed in natural light and a delightful indoor-outdoor feel thanks to the fully opened bi-fold doors when the sun is shining, leading out to a huge terrace that brightens up the Quai Richelieu and welcomes lovers of discovery and culinary delights.
