A Fiery Arrival!
Since December 13th, a fresh breeze has swept through the old fire station in Benauge. This iconic monument of Bordeaux, which housed the brave firefighters for seven decades, has transformed into a vibrant, festive, and community-focused spot where dining, cultural events, and friendly gatherings come together in a space rich with history.

From a place of emergency interventions to a meeting spot
While it's set to become a lifestyle hotel by 2028, the 1950s building classified as a historical monument is temporarily transforming into a delicious, cultural, and festive food court for the next 20 months. Last April, after 70 years of dedicated service, the firefighters moved to a brand-new building in the Belvédère area to make way for a new generation of users.
Caserne B: the new place to BE-EAT until 2026
Since then, the vast 600 m² garage has transformed into an open space taken over by 4 iconic figures of the Bordeaux culinary scene: Thierry Lefaye, former owner of the restaurant Le Pistou in Martillac, Frédéric Schueller (the talented chef of Truck de chef), Karim Ebel (creator of Reservoir Dogs) and Stéphane Pérez (at the helm of Food et Saisons). Together, they have brought to life the ground floor of Caserne B, a hybrid space where quality cuisine and a festive atmosphere blend to offer a unique experience.

An emergency shelter during the winter
What’s on the menu? A lively popular bar, a street-food counter, weekly cultural events (concerts, DJ sets, exhibitions, markets...), and a large sunlit terrace. It’s the perfect recipe to become the new must-visit spot on the right bank. With a naturally supportive spirit, the project has kept a space to welcome the homeless throughout winter in the old barracks' rooms. This initiative, led by the Diaconat de Bordeaux, aims to provide an urgent solution for those in need during the winter season.
