The Editor

Installed since November 26, 2025 at the foot of the Grosse Cloche, MOME charms the people of Bordeaux with a simple promise: to rediscover the taste of childhood memories through a 100% homemade pastry shop.

Friendship, closeness, and playful creations

Behind MOME, there are two founders: Orlane and Agathe, friends since their business school days. Orlane specialized in pastry, honing her skills at Ferrandi Bordeaux, before gaining experience in renowned establishments in London and Paris. Agathe, on the other hand, worked in the export of pastry products.

Together, they gave life to a shared project that blends culinary expertise with business savvy, driven by a mission: to create a genuine and accessible space.

A Cozy Café with Bordeaux Charm

The duo has taken over the old Boulangerie des Amis, enchanted by the exposed stone and the charming wooden façade. Inside, the atmosphere is soft and enveloping, with terracotta hues, raw wood, and natural materials that extend the comforting experience right into the decor. With about 12 seating spots, MOME embraces intimacy and the spirit of a neighborhood café.

A 100% homemade and seasonal bakery

Here, everything is made on-site: pastries, hot chocolate, syrups, and refreshing drinks. The founders prioritize short supply chains, working with local producers, from coffee to chocolate to fruits and flours. The menu evolves with the seasons, inspirations, and available products.

Among the must-haves: the childhood milk bread, the spoon cookie with tonka caramel, and the vanilla, orange blossom, and rum flavored flan. On the drink side, the homemade mocaccino and the salted butter caramel latte are already crowd favorites.

The prices are purposely gentle, with pastries ranging from €4 to €5.90 and drinks priced between €3 to €6.50.
