At the four corners of the Hexagon, the new Bib Gourmands highlight modern bistronomy by playfully crafting recipes with iconic local products. These delightful spots offer a full meal (excluding drinks) for around forty euros. What a steal in this day and age. In total, 56 establishments were newly rewarded in the latest Michelin guide unveiled on February 26, 2024.
Racines Bordeaux: The most affordable of the best tables
In Bordeaux, only the restaurant Racines has the honor of receiving this prestigious distinction. In its review, the Michelin Guide specifies: "A self-taught chef, with Scottish roots, creates here an inventive and sparkling cuisine, far from conventions, and evolves his menu every week according to the market. Fresh and carefully presented dishes, like this green marinated sea bream, herb-infused... These Roots are as solid as they are tasty: the restaurant, with its modern bistro feel, is always busy".
Nestled right in the city center, on the discreet Georges Bonnac street, Daniel Gallacher's restaurant shines with its creative, daring, hyper-local cuisine of great scope at very affordable prices. Since its opening, it has been winning over all the employees of the Mériadeck district for their lunch break. Expect €25 for the weekday lunch menu and €40 for the evening menu to discover this well-executed Franco-Scottish cuisine that unanimously delights all palates.
Thanks to its success, this place is always packed. Don't forget to make a reservation!
