Bordering the eponymous river, this former industrial site has metamorphosed into a dynamic place where leisure, community activities, gastronomy, and artistic creation coexist. Just like Darwin, nestled right across, the Chantiers de la Garonne operate as a bustling ecosystem full of ideas to break the norms and open up to new horizons.

A maritime, sustainable cuisine made from local products
In a large 650 m2 industrial-style complex, the former shipyard of the Port of the Moon has been reinvented as a nautical club with its eponymous association that aims to prove that you can still sail on the Garonne River. Adjacent to this club is the Lalune brewery which produces the famous organic and local beer in an energetically efficient brewing room, supplied with malt from the Southwest.

Highly popular among the people of Bordeaux, the Chantiers de la Garonne also houses a large restaurant (with 60 seats on the terrace and 80 indoors) where you can enjoy seafood directly sourced from the fish market or locally-sourced dishes with a breathtaking view of the river. Special mention goes to the freshly made and homemade pizzas (otherwise nothing) by the chef, which you can enjoy indoors in a fully glassed room to make the most of the enchanting view or on the private beach filled with charming recycled furniture. The experience is delightful!

Urban beach, restaurant & re-creation spot
Always focused on creation and sharing, the Chantiers de la Garonne have been hosting the training restaurant of the cooking school at Darwin La Source for a year and a half. Customers can (from Monday to Wednesday) try out the creations of student learners or those in the integrated curriculum. On the menu? A 100% organic and locally sourced meat or veggie cuisine at ultra-affordable prices.

And speaking of transmission, the spot is 100% family-friendly thanks to its kids-friendly corner with sand, small games, and secure edges. Whether for an aperitif with friends, a romantic first date (as evidenced by Tinder's choice for its latest advertising campaign), a family gathering, or a moment of individual disconnection... Chantiers de la Garonne caters to all scenarios with a summer venue full of surprises.
A lunar, literally! program
To perfect the scene, Chantiers is working on a quality program with local collective DJ sets every full moon on its beach. The Club House is also filled with events such as conferences, meetings, concerts, or even Comedy Clubs.b in his glass room with a 180° view of the water. He recently created a event by hosting the Green Washing Comedy Club.
