Ecrin Sucré, the art of trompe l'œil comes to Bordeaux 

August 1, 2024, marked a turning point for dessert lovers in Bordeaux : the opening of the first trompe-l'œil pastry shop in the city. Behind this bold concept is Vixente Andrieu, a former contestant from Objectif Top Chef who once impressed Philippe Etchebest with a pastry of this kind.

Since then, the pastry chef with an impressive background - a bronze medalist in the Best Apprentices in France competition - has refined his art and presents Écrin Sucré, a true culinary masterpiece where each dessert is an illusion.

Edible works of art that defy the senses

Through creations that are as beautiful as they are tasty, this tea room blurs the lines between art and cuisine. Each piece is a little visual gem, a homemade signature dessert that aims to delight the taste buds of its customers. All of this is done without added sugars to cater to all kinds of dietary needs, including those of diabetics.

Among the best-sellers, the mango, the peanut with its surprising textures, the crispy apple with chocolate hints, the creamy lemon, the coffee bean inspired by tiramisu, or the Paris-Brest reinvented in lace form are favorites among visitors, but the menu will expand over time.

Sunday Brunch and Savory Bagels

The price of these sweet little wonders? Between 6 and 8 euros for each optical illusion. And for a quick lunch, a bagel combo at 13.50€ (with drink and dessert of your choice) satisfies all cravings. Creative bagels, like the one with smoked salmon and cucumber, the fried chicken with pickles, or the vegetarian one with avocado, are offered at prices ranging from 7.50€ to 8.50€.

The place rbreathe in passion, indulgence, and generosity, all wrapped up in a warm and playful atmosphere, reflecting the creativity that unfolds here. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM to 7 PM, with a Sunday brunch that showcases the colors of the seasons, the establishment offers a menu featuring pistachio praline pancakes with fleur de sel, bacon scrambled eggs, and bruschettas.
