The American burger temple Five Guys is setting up shop right in the heart of Bordeaux and is already promising to make foodies in the Gironde salivate.
The favorite fast food of Barack Obama
You're not dreaming: the iconic chain straight from Virginia is soon going to be grilling its juicy burgers and homemade fries in Bordeaux. Known for its highly customizable burgers, its soft brioche buns, and its peanut oil fries, Five Guys has already won over Paris, Lyon, Lille, and Toulouse. The next step? Bordeaux, of course.

No official opening date yet (but we're betting on summer 2025), but the work is underway and the address has finally been shared! The famous fast-food joint will be settling in the heart of rue Saint-Rémi, at number 43, right where the Ganache restaurant used to be.
XXL Burgers, endless fries (or close to it) and fountain drinks
Here, there’s no set menu! You create your burger from A to Z with 15 ingredients to choose from. Double patty, crispy bacon, pickles, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, or jalapeños? You're the chef! With 250,000 possible topping combinations for burgers, hot dogs, and various sandwiches. And to pair with all that: homemade "boardwalk" fries, hand-cut on-site every day and served generously (really).
The cherry on top of the milkshake: the must-have drink fountain with unlimited refills and over 1000 possible combinations. Yes, it exists.
This opening marks the first one in Nouvelle-Aquitaine for the chain.
