In the charming rampart street, just a few steps from Be My Cookie or the Land & Monkeys patisserie, which just won the 2026 Vegan Flavors award, a little shop is now attracting chocolate lovers. Woody’s Brownies has chosen to make an iconic Anglo-Saxon dessert its specialty: the brownie, offered in a variety of original and gooey recipes.

A Delicious Family Adventure
At the heart of the project is Sarah Berthaud, an English pastry chef who has always had a passion for making this cake for her loved ones.
The idea to create a shop dedicated to brownies came to life in September 2024, taking over an old clothing store. “This is a real step out of our comfort zone, but we wanted to create a fun project that reflects us,” explains the founder. The name of the shop, Woody's, is filled with memories: it was the nickname given to Sarah when she was a child.

A card entirely dedicated to brownies
In the display case, there are at least 6 different recipes offered every day. The classic chocolate brownie sits alongside more original creations like: the marbled cheesecake brownie with raspberry coulis, the salted caramel brownie, the peanut butter brownie, the brookie, half brownie half cookie, and even a lemon meringue blondie. A vegan version is also on the menu.
The brownies are made daily with quality chocolate and carefully selected ingredients. Prices start at €3.70, tcertain creations are more elaborate, costing around about €4.50.

The shop mainly operates for takeout, with the option to pair brownies with coffee or a hot drink. Woody's also offers custom cakes, in the form of brownies available in bite-sized pieces to share, designed for birthdays or events.
