The Pasta Paradise
It all began in 2021, post-Covid, when Fabio noticed the lack of a pastificio (fresh pasta workshop) in Bordeaux. Without wasting any time, this true Italian, hailing from a family of restaurateurs and from a small village nestled between Naples and Rome, decided to train with the best. Upon his return to Bordeaux, he launched the very first fresh pasta counter in Bordeaux, more specifically in Bouscat.
The concept? An Italian caterer combined with a gourmet grocery store that highlights responsible small producers. The star of the house? It's pasta, in the form of pappardelle, fusilli, ravioli, tagliatelle, tagliolini, caserecce, or even gnocchi, all prepared in the spacious 130 m² lab at the back of the shop. In this temple of artisanal pasta, up to 100 kg of pasta are produced each week.
Family recipes to take home
To inspire the people of Bordeaux, Casa Faiola offers generous dishes prepared with love every morning. Inside, there are 3 displays featuring the delicious offerings: homemade and seasonal dishes, prepared meals in takeaway containers or vacuum-sealed, ready to enjoy (perfect for lunch breaks), along with cured meats & cheeses from purebred sources.
Among the delightful array of dishes? Our eyes dance between the truffle cream meatballs, eggplant Parmigiana, lemon ravioli (the house favorite), seasonal roasted veggies, and the Milanese-style escalope. The selection of cheeses and charcuterie is just as rich and inspiring, featuring 24-month aged parmesan, pecorino romano (perfect for Carbonara), truffle cheese, smoked scamorza, 2-year aged Parma ham, Italy's champion mortadella, Piedmont salami, coppa, and even bresaola.
The star of the show? It's the ravioli, with recipes that change twice a week to keep things exciting! You can find classic meat-filled varieties, with a hint of lemon and parmesan, as well as options with pumpkin, spinach, gorgonzola, and even pot-au-feu depending on the season... It's all about the chefs' inspiration! To highlight Italian artisans, Casa Faiola has created a lovely selection of gourmet groceries featuring dry pasta, exclusive olive oils, spreads, and a handpicked selection of fine wines. It's a carefully chosen range, focused on taste, quality, and authenticity.

Coming Soon: Takeaway Pasta Boxes!
Due to the amazing success of its pasta bar, Casa Faiola is planning to soon open an independent pasta bar featuring a special lunchtime menu and takeaway boxes to enjoy on-site or grab and go. The idea? Savor delicious homemade pasta (carbonara, cheese, tomato, or even truffle) or freshly toasted focaccia sandwiches for just €7.50. The holy grail for students! Plus, Casa Faiola has launched its 100% Italian event catering service with a custom menu that will impress on any occasion!

For now, the house is located in Bouscat (where it was born) and since 2022, it's in the Saint-Seurin neighborhood, facing the basilica.
