We all know it: Bordeaux is a paradise for cookie lovers. And the latest evidence of this comes from the ranking of the best cookies in France, put together by the gastronomic critic François-Régis Gaudry in collaboration with the teams from On Va Déguster (France Inter) and the show Très Très Bon (Paris Première).

From Bordeaux markets to the Saint-Pierre neighborhood boutique
If the ranking is mainly occupied by addresses in Paris, a Bordeaux address stands out. And the best part is that they haven't even opened their own store yet! The opening on Saint-James street is scheduled for mid-April. This concept is Charlotte à Croquer who has made a name for themselves with their high-end 100% artisanal cookies. Faced with the success that the young pastry chef/chocolate maker/confectioner has had at the Capucins market and Bacalan Halles, she will open her boutique on April 13 in the Grosse Cloche neighborhood.

Charlotte à Croquer : Delicious handmade cookies like no other
In its future 22 m2 shop (with a 6 m2 workshop in the back) adorned with warm colors and wooden materials, food lovers will be able to discover the 15 or so recipes that range from best-sellers to seasonal treats. The uniqueness of Charlotte à Croquer lies in the use of fresh products from local sources (as evidenced by the map soon to be displayed in the store) and the low sugar content of its signature creations.
"My cookies are 30% less sweet than traditional cookies." A deliberate choice by the pastry chef who aims to rediscover the flavors that lie behind sugar. To achieve this, Charlotte spent over a decade perfecting the recipe. One that allows for the creation of cookies that are both interesting in terms of flavors and nutrition.
