Set up in Villenave-d’Ornon since 2019, and then at the Bassins à Flot in Bordeaux since 2021, La Côte et l’Arête is much more than just a restaurant. It’s the continuation of an adventure that started 16 years ago, where the art of meat is celebrated like a religion. In Bordeaux, this establishment with 140 seats and a large 80-seat terrace, facing the Port of the Moon, comes alive every day in a sunny atmosphere. People come here not just to eat but to enjoy an experience.

Two Places, One Passion
One of the founders, a meat enthusiast, has infused his expertise into every detail. The group has its own wholesale company, La Pyrénéenne des Viandes, ensuring a strict supply chain, far removed from industrial standards. The meats are carefully selected based on a specific set of criteria, aged on-site in cellars that are visible from the dining area, and showcased in a one-of-a-kind meat bar: the customer chooses their cut, weight, and aging with the server.
An Eclectic and Homemade Meat Menu
Rib steak, sirloin, parsley entrecôte, t-bone, filet Rossini, and of course the famous basse-côte are all must-tries. The signature dish? The surf and turf: a beef fillet with truffle butter and half a lobster, beautifully presented on the same platter — a delightful boldness.
Despite its meaty DNA, La Côte et l’Arête caters to all appetites: fish, vegetarian dishes, bistronomic recipes, and homemade desserts round out a generous and seasonal menu, refreshed twice a year. At lunchtime, the bouillon formula (appetizer, main dish, dessert for €18) warms the hearts with dishes inspired by grandmother’s kitchens. Homemade fries.
and unlimited salad accompanies each plate.A meticulously crafted ambiance
Far from impersonal chains, this place has been entirely envisioned by interior architects. In Bordeaux, the vibe is Mediterranean, bright, accented with pop colors, Chinese vases, and large, friendly benches. At the foot of the UGC cinema, this spot attracts groups of friends, families, meat lovers, and the curious alike.

Brasero, brunches, and afterworks
What’s new? A summer menu starting May 15th, featuring Sunday brunch, Friends' Brasero every Thursday evening, and afterworks on the terrace, with homemade cocktails and shareable platters. This makes La Côte et l’Arête a lively, generous, and always vibrant spot. Here, meat has a soul, fire has a purpose, and the welcome has an extra touch of warmth.
