The Michelin Guide has just revealed its Bib Gourmand 2026: two Bordeaux restaurants are celebrated in this prestigious selection, which rewards the best places with controlled prices. Sens et Mets Mots joins the 430 establishments recognized in France for their careful and accessible cuisine.

A few weeks before the Michelin Guide France ceremony scheduled for March 16 in Monaco, the 2026 edition of the Bib Gourmand shines a light on 75 new eateries in France. Among them, 2 restaurants in Bordeaux confirm the culinary vitality of the capital of the Gironde and are recognized for their affordable prices.

Sens, a modern bistro with precise dishes

Tucked away from the touristy side of Bordeaux, Sens, led by chef Alexandre Bru, enchants with its cozy atmosphere and strict culinary standards. Here, classic French bistro dishes are revisited with finesse: poached egg in yellow wine with Comté, onion soup with Beaufort enhanced by Espelette pepper, and braised beef chuck in red wine juice… The Bib Gourmand's promise of quality cuisine at sweet prices finds an obvious expression here, supported by smiling service and a generous spirit.
