Le latest ranking from Valeurs Actuelles of the safest and most dangerous cities in France has just been released. The study, which relies on the data from the Ministerial Statistical Service for Internal Security (SSMSI), ranks the 119 municipalities with over 50,000 inhabitants. A score out of 20 is then assigned to each city based on the number of attempted homicides, voluntary assaults, burglaries, and sexual violence.
Is Bordeaux less safe than Paris?
In this little game, Bordeaux ranks among the most dangerous cities in France, coming in 4th place (two spots up or down from last year) in this somewhat scary top list. At the top of the ranking, we have the unchanged trio from last year: Lille, Saint-Denis, and Marseille, closely followed by Bordeaux, a newcomer in 4th position after taking Paris's spot, which has now been relegated to 7th place. Grenoble, recently ranked as the most pleasant city to live in the world, is also in 6th place among the most dangerous cities in France...
