Opened in 2021 within the beautifully restored walls of the former Bordeaux University of Sciences, the hotel La Zoologie features 40 rooms that exude a cozy atmosphere, blending heritage architecture with contemporary design. With its lush indoor garden, a true green oasis right in the city center, this spot charms both traveling guests and locals looking for a little getaway.

Its spa, two restaurants, and a house cocktail bar complete this upscale offering. The brunch, served on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, features an abundant and refined buffet for €42, praised for its variety, which can be enjoyed in the dining room or under the shade of the garden trees (available all day).

A Hidden Rooftop to Discover

The newest addition to La Zoologie, the rooftop, which opened at the beginning of June, offers breathtaking views of Bordeaux from the 3rd floor. Open Thursday to Sunday, from 6 PM to 11 PM, this discreet hideaway with 30 seats charms visitors with its intimate and exclusive atmosphere.

On the menu: carefully crafted cocktails, selected wines, refreshing beers, and refined tapas (potato churros, sheep cheese, oysters, grilled prawns...). The sharing platters are the perfect accompaniment to a sunset over the rooftops, all in a calm and precious atmosphere. A second floor will soon be opening!

On the dining side, La Zoologie offers a delightful bistronomic experience in its main restaurant, which can seat 40 guests. There's a lovely "market return" menu for lunch and a 100% homemade menu for the evening. Downstairs, its Italian eating cellar – open from April to mid-October – serves up crispy arancini, pasta prepared in a cheese wheel, and generous antipasti on a private terrace. The entrance is independent, perfect for an impromptu Italian getaway.
