Travel freely without a ticket in Nouvelle-Aquitaine
On the move for revolution! Paper tickets are so last season, and QR codes on smartphones are already outdated! Introducing « Just Go », the new solution tested by SNCF in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. With this solution aiming to reinvent traditional ticketing, SNCF is hopping on the modernity train. The idea? Travel without a ticket with just a click at the train entrance and another at the exit, and you're good to go.
An experimentation that bears fruit
One month after its launch in September, the project led by SNCF Voyageurs' subsidiary had already charmed 3,000 passengers. The JustGo service is available by signing up on the SNCF Connect app under the "Tickets" tab, then "Regional offers" "Nouvelle-Aquitaine - TER".
In an exclusive interview with Le Parisien,
.Anne Pruvot, general manager of SNCF Connect & Tech, explains: "Once you board a regional train, you check in on the app and are geolocated thanks to your smartphone. All that's left to do is click again when you get off the train. If you forget, the app will send a message if we see that the geolocation shows that the user is no longer on the train route."
Coming soon, the same service for public transportation? Then, the app calculates the total amount of the journey and the traveler receives their bill at the end of the month. The service is currently limited to TER trains for trips made from departure and arrival stations in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. However, it could expand to public transport through a new app in development called Modalis, which could be launched by 2025. All the information
