Save the date! The youth are taking over at CAPC: an immersive and vibrant evening to wrap up the Spring of Expressions in Bordeaux. Join us this Friday, April 25th, for a series of artistic performances imagined and created by students in the Nef.

Citizen Expression and Awareness

A new breeze is about to bring life to the Nef at CAPC this Friday, April 25, from 7 PM to 9 PM! To wrap up the 4th edition of the Spring of Expressions, a key event in the City of Bordeaux dedicated to giving voice and creativity to young people aged 11 to 25, the contemporary art museum transforms into a free, festive, and bold stage. Titled "Youth at Work", this evening is a joyful celebration of youth in all its artistic diversity.

Young people have free rein to bring the scene to life

Following an open call for applications, the evening celebrates Bordeaux students and teenagers, selected for their stage talent and passion for energizing the museum. Contemporary dance, theater, singing, slam poetry, or even K-pop: eight immersive performances, designed to resonate with the museum's exhibition Air de repos (Breathwork), will transform the artworks into sensory experiences.

Throughout the evening, mediators from the CAPC, joined by students from the Arts Bureau of Sciences Po Bordeaux, will be leading pop-up tours to unveil the secrets of the artworks and shed light on the performances. And since a celebration is always better with sharing, there will be a refreshment stand and light catering, managed by young people as well. But the fun doesn't stop there! At 8:15 PM, the Rock School Barbey will take over with an eclectic concert featuring rap, beatbox, slam, and cello, performed by emerging young artists.

Listening to Nourish the City’s Youth Policies

For the past four years, the Spring of Expressions has provided young people in Bordeaux a platform to think, create, and make their voices heard. After exploring themes like sports, climate, and engagement, the 2025 edition will shine a spotlight on culture in all its forms: artistic practices, professions, access to the arts, and visions for the future. The first day, dedicated to youth organizations, will take place the day before, on Thursday, April 24, at the conservatory and Dom Bedos square, featuring a series of workshops, performances, and cultural encounters.

More than just an event, the Spring of Expressions has become a laboratory of ideas, a showcase of talents, and a promise kept: to give young people a place on stage, in debates... and in the decisions to come.
