The 7 Transavia flights operating from Bordeaux-Mérignac
A few weeks ago, we mentioned that Ryanair was permanently closing its Bordeaux base due to poor business negotiations with the airport. This opens a door for Air France-KLM's low-cost subsidiary, Transavia, which aims to establish a long-term presence at Bordeaux airport. Transavia's base will be operational starting October 1st with one A320 Neo aircraft operating 7 different routes.
It already connected Bordeaux-Mérignac to Senegal with a weekly flight to Dakar. But that's not all! There are 6 new routes being added, including 5 taken over from Ryanair: Marseille (4 flights a week), Porto (2 flights a week), Agadir (2 flights a week), Marrakech (4 flights a week), and Seville (2 flights a week). And the cherry on top? Istanbul, starting on December 12th! On the pricing side, Transavia Bordeaux promises starting prices of €30, especially on the flight Bordeaux-Marseille. In total, 300,000 seats will be put on sale between this winter and next summer.
