Traveling between the banks of the Rhine and those of the Garonne has never been easier! For the summer of 2025, the direct TGV connection between Frankfurt and Bordeaux is back for the third consecutive year. The journeys, lasting 8 hours, will be available every Saturday in July and August. 

Frankfurt–Bordeaux: a one-way ticket to summer

It's a service eagerly anticipated by travelers looking to combine comfort and eco-friendliness: between July 5 and August 30, 2025, the direct TGV from Frankfurt am Main to Bordeaux-Saint-Jean will operate every Saturday, promising a summer filled with gentle mobility. Departure is at 3:57 PM from Bordeaux, with an expected arrival in Germany at 11:50 PM. As for the return trip, the train leaves the Frankfurt central station at 6:56 AM and arrives in the Gironde capital at 2:35 PM.

11 stops, two cultures, a smooth route

Along its route, the train makes 11 stops, including one in Angoulême. This service, born from the partnership between SNCF and Deutsche Bahn, embodies the shared desire of both operators to enhance summer cross-border connections and to support European tourism by rail.
