We announced a few weeks ago the route of the Olympic Flame relay in Bordeaux Metropole on May 23. To end on a high note, the iconic figure of French gastronomy - but also a high-level judoka - Thierry Marx will light the cauldron at Quinconces at 7:30 pm before kicking off the nighttime festivities. The former double-starred chef of Château Cordeillan-Bages in Pauillac and president of the UMIH will light the torch in front of 10,000 spectators. As the capacity is limited for this unique event, giant screens will be set up throughout the public space.
