One-way traffic between Place de la Victoire and Les Capucins in Bordeaux
The Cours de la Marne is used by thousands of Bordelais every day to escape the city center or reach Gare Saint-Jean. For several months, its traffic has been disrupted due to the construction of the BHNS. Another disruption is about to take place. Starting from April 8, the Bordeaux Metropolis will launch a 6-month experimental phase to make the Cours a one-way street between Place de la Victoire and Cours de l’Yser, towards the train station. The opposite lane will be reserved for buses, emergency vehicles, and soft mobility.
Sud-Ouest Bordeaux specifies that this new plan will bring changes such as "dead-end streets adjacent to the Cours de la Marne and the closure of several streets to traffic".at the intersection with Cours de la Marne (Leyteire, Garat, and Chantre accessible only from Rue Gintrac, Kléber and Monthyon accessible from Rue Bergeon)". The new signage will be implemented between March 25 and April 7. The new traffic flow - temporary - will take effect on Monday, April 8.
