Old-fashioned slow Ouigo trains coming soon to Saint-Jean station
Traveling between Paris and Bordeaux is about to get even cheaper! Starting December 15, 2024, SNCF will introduce relatively slow traditional trains, marketed by a subsidiary under the Ouigo brand, on the high-speed line between Paris and Bordeaux. The journey itself is not advertised as high-speed as it will take between 4h55 and 5h39 with these trains, compared to 2 hours for regular trains.
Operated by a new subsidiary Oslo, inspired by Ouigo TGVs, the "Ouigo Vitesse Classique" trains will make 2 round trips per day between Paris-Austerlitz or Paris-Bercy stations and Bordeaux-Saint-Jean. A noticeable change, our arrivals (or departures) will no longer be at Montparnasse station!

Up to 5h40 of travel between Paris and Bordeaux
Stops at the stations of Juvisy, Les Aubrais, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, Futuroscope, Poitiers and Angoulême are planned along the way. And if the speed decreases, prices will also drop significantly, with tickets priced between 10€ and 49 € (5 € for children). The journey will be made on a Corail train, old-fashioned and without Wifi, revived for a good cause with up to 720 passengers on board.
The train cars will be completely repainted in candy pink with only one class offered inside. The ticket includes a carry-on bag as well as a cabin bag.
