The results go beyond just graduation rates. The average score achieved by students in written exams plays a crucial role. Schools like Saint-Elme in Arcachon and Jean-Joseph Lataste in Cadillac, while having more modest average scores (13.2 and 12.6 respectively), also boast a 100% success rate.
The Saint Génes La Salle Private School in Bordeaux stands out slightly, with a success rate of 99% and an average score of 14.2. Although it lags a bit behind its 100% competitors, this institution remains a top choice for families.
Only One Public Institution in the Top 10
2">In this ranking dominated by private institutions, only one public college manages to stand out among the best colleges in Gironde. The Collège André Lahaye in Andernos-les-Bains takes the 15th position with a success rate of 99%, an average score of 12.1, and a diploma access rate of 92%.
The ranking was based on 3 criteria: the success rate at the diploma in 2023, the raw score in writing the same year: the average for the written tests in French, mathematics, science, and history-geography, before any possible adjustments by the jury, and the added value (the difference between the actual results and the expected results) for these two indicators.
