According to the findings of the security commission of the city of Talence, some facilities in the park require urgent action to ensure the safety of the 600 drivers who use this major site in the TBM network daily.
The Arts et Métiers Park-and-Ride Closed for Safety Reasons
The 15,340 m² park-and-ride is subject to periodic inspections every five years. During the last inspection, several issues were identified, prompting the Metropolis to decide on an immediate closure while waiting for necessary repairs. When contacted, TBM specified that the reopening is set for a date that is yet to be determined, while the technical processes are underway.
A Shift to Unitec and Cap Métiers
For users who are used to parking in Talence before taking tram B, TBM recommends...head towards the Unitec or Cap Métiers interchange parks, located nearby.
The Arts and Métiers park had already been forced to close in 2019 for several months due to significant leaks and a weakened slab. When the work is planned, Bordeaux Métropole will share a more precise reopening schedule. In the meantime, drivers will need to adjust their habits to reach Bordeaux using public transport.
