A new heatwave is set to suffocate Bordeaux next week, with nearly 40°C expected!

Hardly has the thermometer dropped when the heat might already be making a grand return! The weather forecasts are painting an increasingly hot picture for the end of July, with temperatures that could soar to around 38°C in Bordeaux. It's a trend that still needs to be confirmed, but it already deserves all our attention.

Bordeaux residents were just starting to enjoy more breathable temperatures, but this break might not last. After several days closer to seasonal norms, weather models are predicting another heatwave for much of the country, especially in Gironde.

Behind this predicted rise in temperatures is a very warm air mass coming from the Iberian Peninsula that could gradually move towards France in the coming days. If this scenario holds true, Lyon will be one of the most affected areas.

Up to 38°C expected by the end of next week

The initial weather projections suggest particularly high temperatures. According to the latest trends published by Météo-France, maximum temperatures could reach up to 38°C in Bordeaux around Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30.
