From the Fields to the Allées de Tourny

This Thursday, March 27, Bordeaux is hosting its very first market of young Girondin farmers, at the Allées de Tourny, from 12 PM to 11 PM. It's a daytime and nighttime event brought to you by the Young Farmers of Gironde and the association Tomorrow I Will Be a Farmer. This unique event celebrates local producers known as "young settlers", meaning they are originally from Gironde and have been established for less than ten years.

Promoting Short Supply Chains and Supporting Farmers

"The idea is to bring local agriculture into the city" shares the organizing team.  18 Girondin producers will be present to showcase and offer tastings of a wide range of products: wines, asparagus, honey, vegetables, CBD, burgers, charcuteries, oriental pastries, flowers, and much more. The U-shaped market, just like the famous Epicuriales de Bordeaux, features a central wine bar. Eight local winemakers will be there to offer bottles or glasses for individual purchase. What's on the menu? All kinds of bottles and all colors.

An Evening Ended with Music

As a bonus, a concert by the local band Too Keys, mixing funk and soul, will bring rhythm to the evening, adding a musical touch to this gathering of producers and consumers. The afternoon will be dedicated to shopping, and the evening will come alive with food, drinks, and musical entertainment. It’s an event you won’t want to miss to support local agriculture and savor regional products in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
