A new bike parking area with 130 secure spots has been opened right in the heart of Bordeaux!

The little queen now has her kingdom. On October 17, Bordeaux inaugurated its brand-new METSTATION at the Victor Hugo parking lot, a space entirely dedicated to bikes and a symbol of the transition to a gentler way of getting around. Designed and operated by METPARK, this place offers 131 secure spots, including 23 for cargo bikes, along with a full range of handy services for urban cyclists.

A brand new 100% cyclists' parking garage in the heart of Bordeaux

Following the ones at 8 May 1945, Pey Berland, and Gambetta, a 4th METSTATION has opened in a strategic neighborhood of Bordeaux. Tucked inside the Victor Hugo parking garage and inaugurated on October 17, this cyclists' haven features 108 bike spots and 23 for cargo bikes.

By transforming 15 car parking spaces into a modern area dedicated to two-wheelers, METPARK showcases the metropolitan desire to rebalance public spaces in favor of sustainable mobility. The offerings include secure lockers, charging stations for electric bikes, a bike pump, and a repair station.

A Metropolis That's Becoming More Bike-Friendly!

With this new opening, Bordeaux now boasts nearly 500 secure bike parking spots spread across four metropolitan locations. This number is set to grow in the coming months as new projects roll out from the Bordeaux Métropole administration. Two new stations are already under construction in Mérignac and Victoire!
