The Editor

Bordeaux transport users will need to adjust their routes this summer. TBM is launching a major phase of work aimed at maintaining and modernizing the tramway infrastructures of the metropolis. The result: lines A and E will be heavily disrupted for over 2 months, followed by new interruptions on lines B, C, D, and F starting August 10.

Lines A and E cut off for over two months

Starting from June 23 and until August 28 inclusive: tram A will be interrupted between Stalingrad and Sainte-Catherine, and tram E will be interrupted between Stalingrad and Quinconces. This disruption is part of the new phase of the consolidation work on the stone bridge, which began in 2025. Trams will run normally on either side of the interrupted areas.

A shuttle bus between the two shores

To compensate for this interruption, TBM is setting up a shuttle bus A-E between Stalingrad and Quinconces via the Saint-Jean bridge. The route will serve in particular:

Stalingrad, Belvédère, Sainte-Croix, Saint-Michel, Porte de Bourgogne, Place de la Bourse, Quinconces.

Lines C, D, and F will continue to run normally, particularly at Porte de Bourgogne and Quinconces. The Mobi’Vélo service for people with reduced mobility will also be reactivated between Stalingrad and Porte de Bourgogne.

New disruptions starting August 10

A second phase of work will begin on August 10 to replace ground power supply rails (APS).

From August 10 to 14:

  • Tram B will be interrupted between Quinconces and Musée d'Aquitaine,
  • followed by an extended evening interruption between Quinconces and Pessac Centre / France Alouette.

From August 17 to 21:

  • Trams C and D will be interrupted between Quinconces and Saint-Michel,
  • and Tram F will be interrupted between Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Michel.

Some solutions...Substitution services will be in place throughout the entire period. TBM is excited to announce the launch of an information campaign starting May 26, featuring display signage, announcements across the network, and the presence of agents to guide travelers during the construction work.
