For two days, on Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, the Ubuntu Market will take over the 1200 m2 of the Manufacture de Darwin, on the right bank of Bordeaux, for its first edition focused on cultural diversity and responsible consumption. Driven by an independent association collective, the event aims to shine a spotlight on emerging Afro-Caribbean brands and create lasting connections between artisans and consumers.

A showcase for contemporary Afro-Caribbean cultures
More than 50 exhibitors are expected for this first edition. Fashion, accessories, decoration, lifestyle, wellness, gourmet food: the offerings aim to be diverse. Ubuntu claims a rigorous curatorial approach, highlighting brands that blend contemporary aesthetics, entrepreneurial ambition, and strong cultural roots.
"40 brands and 10 speakers will energize the weekend with exhibitions, a film screening, and lively dance performances from Réunion. Among them: 65% young entrepreneurs and 70% women creators.The price range for products will be from €5 to €90, making it accessible while showcasing demanding and high-quality brands" explains Céline Mbey, the market secretary.

More than just a traditional market, this gathering serves as a space for sharing and exchanges. The organizers have a clear goal: to offer Bordeaux a different, high-quality, and committed selection, while supporting creators who are often underrepresented in traditional circuits.
