An unprecedented initiative led by the sports community of Gironde
Behind this wonderful effort is the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee of Gironde (CDOS 33), always on the lookout for innovative solutions to make sports accessible for everyone. It was CDOS that proposed this initiative to the City of Bordeaux, aiming to remove a often invisible barrier to sports participation: access to menstrual products.
For a year, women in Bordeaux will be able to freely use these next-generation dispensers. This initiative echoes the desire to break taboos around menstruation while promoting health, well-being, and freedom of movement.
Responsible products for the planet and for health
The choice of products is intentional: the dispensers offer two types of ttampons (with or without applicator) and two types of sanitary pads (regular and super flow), all from the French brand Lubia. What's special about them? They are 100% eco-friendly, made from natural materials, free of controversial substances, and kind to the environment. A real plus for everyone who wants to consume differently, even in the most intimate moments.

Free, discreet, and accessible: the triple promise
Free distribution is the key to this experiment. No more stressing about forgetting your protection before heading out for a swim or workout. The setup is designed to be as discreet as it is practical: just head to the changing rooms or restrooms to access protection without having to ask at the front desk or pull out your wallet.
A project to follow and support
This pilot project will be evaluated over the coming months, with the ambition to expand it to other sports facilities if it proves successful. The CDOS 33 encourages all users to share their feedback to help improve the initiative.
