A strategic loop connecting 6 municipalities
With 21 kilometers of route, 49 stops, and a train every 10 minutes during peak hours, line H will create a unique connection between Bordeaux, Le Bouscat, Talence, Bègles, Cenon, and Floirac. It will cross the Garonne River via the Chaban-Delmas bridges and Simone-Veil, establishing a circular link between residential neighborhoods, economic hubs, and major facilities: Chaban-Delmas Stadium, Arena, Digital City, Administrative City, and City of Wine.
The route will also include the new neighborhoods on the rapidly evolving right bank such as Brazza, the ZAC des Quais, and the PRU Joliot-Curie.
Faster journeys, enhanced interconnectivity
reduce travel times and better distribute the stations, line H will offer direct connections that will save up to 13 minutes on certain routes. For instance, the journey from Barrière de Bégles to Stade Chaban-Delmas will go from 18 to 13 minutes, without any transfers. Between Floirac Libération and Cité Numérique, the travel time will be reduced from 25 to 15 minutes, saving 10 minutes along the way.
The line will also be highly multimodal, featuring smooth connections to tram lines A, B, C, D, express buses G, I, J, K, M, the metropolitan RER, the Boat to the City of Wine, Vélo stations, and several park and ride facilities (Arena, Ravezies).
A construction project already underway
Work started in mid-March 2025. By the end of the year, 24 platforms will be developed, including sidewalk renovations, bus corridor surfacing, installation of street furniture, and information terminals. A total of 19 stations will be involved in 2025, with 15 on the left bank and 4 on the right bank.
With a budget of 9 million euros, the line aims to transport 30,000 travelers per day, rethinking traffic on the boulevards long dominated by cars. With it, Bordeaux is clearly stating its ambition: a faster, clearer transportation network that's better connected to its territory.
