Iconic place in downtown Bordeaux lined with lime trees, the Tourny promenade is going to be transformed. The city is launching a large consultation phase until summer 2024 to create a new look for the promenade, greener and more lively, reminiscent of the Ramblas in Barcelona.

Like a touch of Barcelona on the Allées de Tourny in Bordeaux

Since March 6, the city of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Métropole have launched a large-scale consultation, reaching out to those who are attached to this historic place in Bordeaux to rethink the Allées de Tourny. This urban corner, which has notably inspired Baron Haussmann to transform Paris, deserves to be "more green, peaceful, and lively ". 

The example of the Ramblas in Barcelona has been mentioned to illustrate this desire to respect the built and green heritage, promote soft mobility and bring more activities to the neighborhood through a policy of tactical urban planning.

First shovel blows in 2027
