TBM Network under construction this summer: what awaits the people of Bordeaux
Summer is looking tough for Bordeaux commuters! The reason? Summer works on tram lines B, C, D for maintenance, infrastructure reliability and the installation of new switches to facilitate the turning of the trains from July 8. Two new switches will be installed. The first one at Barrière Saint-Genès and the second one at Saint-Michel station. These construction works will result in tram interruptions in July and August. Replacement buses will be set up to ensure the continuity of service on these lines.
In detail
The installation of the switches will last respectively 2 weeks for Saint-Michel (lines C/D) and 6 weeks for Saint-Genès (line B).
Interruption from July 8 to 23
- Tram C will be cut off between Quinconces and Villenave Pyrénées
- Tram D will be cut off between Quinconces and Carle Vernet
- Replacement buses are available with a frequency of 5 minutes during the day and 10 minutes in the evening, as well as between Terres Neuves and Pyrénées.

Interruption from July 15th to August 30th inclusive
- From July 15th to August 30th: interruption between Saint-Nicolas and Pessac Centre - France Alouette.
- From July 22nd to 26th: interruption between Musée d'Aquitaine and Saint-Nicolas.
- On July 26th: interruption between Quinconces and Musée d'Aquitaine.
- Replacement buses are available with a frequency of 10 minutes and 20 minutes between Bougnard and France Alouette.
A specific information system will be set up for passengers to help them with their journeys including: information agents on the ground, signage at all stations not served, informative panels, and all the latest updates on the TBM networks.
