As usual, L'Internaute has published its ranking of the best high schools in France in 2024. The best high school in the country, which received the highest score, is the private high school Stanislas in Paris, recently targeted by several controversies. High schools in the Paris region dominate the top of the rankings. It's not until the 24th place that we see the first high school outside of the Paris region, which is the Lacordaire high school in Marseille.

The ranking is based on data from the ministry weighted with their methodology which takes into account 3 criteria: the success rate in the baccalaureate exam, the rate of access from second grade to baccalaureate within the establishment, and the rate of honors obtained by the baccalaureate holders from the establishment. Only high schools that had more than 100 candidates in the baccalaureate exams are kept. In total, 4,300 high schools in France (general, technical, and vocational) were studied.
What about the best high schools in Bordeaux?
In Bordeaux, the top 5 is dominated by 4 private high schools. The first place is given to Saint-Gen High School. La Salle who achieved a score of 18.65/20, with a 100% success rate in the baccalaureate exam. Nationally, the highest-rated high school in Bordeaux only ranks at number 198.
Following closely behind are Sainte-Marie Grand Lebrun High School (with a score of 18.55/20 and still a 100% success rate in the baccalaureate exam).
