Ryanair follows through on its threat and closes in Bordeaux
The threat loomed in the skies of Bordeaux. Last March, the Irish low-cost airline considered ceasing to serve Bordeaux airport. The reason? "The failure of negotiations with Bordeaux airport on the extension of Ryanair's low-cost services".
Commercial negotiations with the Bordeaux airport ultimately led to failure. Ryanair announced yesterday in a statement, to close its base starting from next November and to stop flights of its three planes.
40 routes and 90 jobs cut
Established for 5 years on the Bordeaux tarmac, the company operated 40 routes from Bordeaux (to Marseille, Prague, Krakow, Dublin, Edinburgh, or Ibiza). All of them will be.ront definitely removed until further notice.
