"Brittany, it's catching on!"
Hard to believe but the numbers don't lie: since the beginning of May, some cities like Brest and Quimper are doing better than Bordeaux and Toulouse in terms of weather. The two Breton cities have accumulated more hours of sunshine than some cities in the south of France. For those who still have a hard time believing it, Inflo Climat confirmed it by revealing the total hours of sunshine from May 1st to 21st. The verdict? Brest recorded 140 hours while Bordeaux only had 113 hours of sunshine and Toulouse 121. The seasonal trends go beyond with normals of 221 hours of sunshine in Bordeaux, meaning: DOUBLE the amount!

50% less sunshine than seasonal norms in Bordeaux
Nothing new under the sun. Bordeaux is experiencing one of its worst recorded springs with a weather that fluctuates between gusts of wind, dry stormy weather, sudden showers, and fleeting mini-clearings that make us keep our summer clothes tucked away. A little dig at all the haters who see Brittany as wet and gray. It must be admitted that it is much more radiant than our Sleeping Beauty in this ENDLESS month of May and definitely has nothing to be ashamed of!
