Bordeaux, the flip side of the coin

While Bordeaux shines with its tourist appeal and quality of life, it seems less welcoming for those starting their professional journey. This is the finding of the company Adobe with its ranking dedicated to the best cities in France for launching your professional life. In this game, Bordeaux isn't looking so great. The rents are among the highest in the country for a studio (23.30 €/m²), the job opportunities for beginners are limited, and the number of networking events is deemed too low. The result? A quality of life score for graduates that is among the lowest in France.

Bordeaux shares the lower end of the ranking with Tours, penalized by low salaries and few opportunities, as well as Lyon, Strasbourg, and others.

sbourg and Aix-en-Provence, cities where the high cost of living and the lack of infrastructure make career beginnings a bit tricky.

The Best Cities to Start Out

On the flip side, there are often underestimated cities that really shine. Limoges takes the gold medal and stands out thanks to its affordable rents (14.70 €/m²), great quality of life, and a vibrant scene of networking events. Marseille stands out with the highest number of entry-level jobs per capita and an attractive average salary (2,520€). Following closely are Reims, Le Havre, and Nîmes, which offer a nice blend of financial accessibility and infrastructure that’s just right for young professionals.
